Frequently Asked Questions

FAQS

  • Even though our writers all share, affirm and demand our convictions to be informed by Biblical Christianity, you may see a trend where our writers do not always see eye to eye on what we would refer to as “non deal-breaker” or "non essentials" of the Faith. We welcome this and see this as a reminder that Christ created each of us in individual and unique ways, and imparts His truth through special revelation in different ways. That being said, non negotiable issues that we do remain united on include God’s command and views on Marriage, Gender, Salvation, and The Trinity.

  • We simply refer to “Biblical Worldview” as a seeing the world through a lens that is informed by the authority and reliability of Scripture (God’s Word). So, when it comes to answering life’s toughest questions or engaging with the world, we first and foremost take a verse by verse look at what the Bible says before articulating and forming our thoughts and feelings.

  • Psalm 73:28 says “But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” You probably already caught on by now. This is my favorite verse in the Bible. As I have grown as a writer who is fascinated by theology, current events and global realities, I wanted to produce blogs that center their approach to some of the hardest and realest issues of our time around the theme found in Psalm 73. In verse 28, a declaration is made - that our life belongs to God, that our worth and safety is found in Him, and for the rest of our days we get to tell of His works to all we come into contact with. It is my hope that those who read my blogs will not merely stumble upon another opinion, but will read between the lines of our writing as I seek to point to the author and perfecter of my faith. That Jesus has answers. That God is on the move and at work in our lives and through His world. Welcome to a new approach to blogging. Welcome to 73:28

  • Our vision for this blog was to be a noise that sticks in a crowded world of already intriguing blogs. We wanted to do this by embracing diversity of thought, radically loving Scripture and its authority on living, and gracefully challenging culture both Christian and secular. In other words, our desire and purpose is to engage fully with the world. To touch on the topics that hit home, like suffering, and wonder, and personal growth. How do you grow relationships with those who are like minded to you, and how do your influence those who do not? Finding that beautiful balance is the utmost reason for our existence.
